Nobody wins debate=Obama wins

Tonight I witnessed history. It was not the economy crashing before my eyes. It was not Obama’s “yes we can” speech. It was not Sarah Palin’s acceptance speech. It was…simply…a boring, tied debate. Nobody won, which means Obama wins. What really matters to me is that this country is truly happy, truly thriving, and truly providing freedom of religion. If Obama will make this country happier and we can still thrive in this world of tough competitors, then I am happy as well. I love this country and want a better America…but a country divided is good for no one. However, I do not admit defeat until November 4. See you at the polls!!

Biden wins debate, Palin wins hearts

While I hope to write more on the debates, the election, and my views overall, let me first just make a small note about the Vice Presidential debate. While trivial and simply a ploy to get each candidate to reveal something detrimental to their respective campaign, it was the most watched vice presidental debate ever and even had more viewers than the actual presidential debate a week ago. We know what to expect: like movie stars at the mtv awards talking about their new movie, we will only get shameless plugs to vote for their running mate. Sarah Palin is not there to talk about Sarah Palin, and Joe Biden is not there to talk about Joe Biden. We know that. So does it really matter who wins the debate, the vice presidential debate??? I think not. What matters is who wins the hearts of the people. So while Biden was clearly knowledgeable and had his best debate and best display of public speaking ever, it was Sarah Palin, with her “Aw, shucks, let’s look to the future” vernacular, that won the hearts of Americans. Say what you want about Palin, I have heard it all. I mean come on, I watched the debate at a bar in Berkeley (the lion’s den that a Republican tread lightly or not at all). The bottom line is, she was great. There is no need to analyze the debate and what was said, it is inconsequential. John McCain and Barack Obama are running for President, not Sarah Palin or Joe Biden…doggone it. So enough with the “I hate the way she talks, I hate the way she looks, I hate how she says hockey moms.” You want to talk about the issues? It’s imminent and will be eminent.

what is the deal with guitar hero. it is 2am, wednesday, we’ve just had a bottle of wine, and leslie is rockin out on guitar hero. 4 days ago, we played rock band for 4 hours while we ate burn chicken and hung out with people of all races. music brings everyone together. who knew playing a fake guitar to songs we would neve listen to could be so much fun. i honestly think if George Bush, Osama Bin Laden, and Putin played guitar hero together…maybe they’d be cool with each other…until then…i need to learn to use my whammies wisely. rock on!!

Sophomore 3 Years Aint Picked a Career

Sometimes I forget what it’s like to be a sophomore in college. If I recall correctly, that was my favorite year in college and one of the best years of my life so far. Even though I am not a sophomore anymore, I am still a wise fool who forgets that the actual wise fools are supposed to be wise fools. And sometimes you just have to trust they’ll do the right thing.

Tang is a sugary, orange flavored, non-carbonated soft drink, but this is not the Tang that I know. The Tang I know is a hard drink of sugar free, liberal flavored, colbert-nated content. Everyone needs a little Tang in their life.
